Untitled Thought Project is Catherine Lacey’s untitled project of thought.

There are three types of posts here:

1. 144-word essays. Those are always public.

2. Longer, rambling personal(ish) essays about this or that. Sometimes I paywall those essays because I like small groups when it’s something that means a lot to me.

3. And the newest (so new!) series is called Public Letter Project. In this series, I’m asking anyone to write me a letter (send to: aletterfromcatherine@gmail.com) and I’ll write you back. Doesn’t need to be advice. I just want to think out loud with you about whatever you’re thinking about.

In the first few months of 2023 I was writing a series about things that strangers had lost and those essays are archived for the paying subscribers.
