There’s nothing inherently wrong with altering your looks, and I don’t take it personally, but I’m beginning to forget what a face of any age looks like without drastic intervention. The meaning of “drastic,” too, has shifted, as has “natural.” I don’t yet feel any pressure to conform, just an absence of reality.
I told Avery she should make an episode about Botox; it is, perhaps, clothing for the face.
She deflected, and said I should write about it. So here I am, writing to find out what I really think about this, but I’ve been writing a while and I still don’t know.
