I read Pew after reading - oh goodness how many times will I use the word read (again, ugh!) - a review that I no longer remember who wrote. Loved Pew and have been awaiting the opportunity to read (SMH) your newest. That moment is here; well, after my copy from Greenlight arrives in the mail.

Just read the Times piece: your book sounds amazing, and I'm looking forward to reading it! Any world in which Emma Goldman was Governor of Illinois is a world I want to enter (and dance in). I also see that you will be in conversation with one of my favorite writers, Miriam Toews. I doubt it will come up, but I just want to mention that I've always been very proud of being able to correctly pronounce her name. Also, once, when I was a teen, I ran into Tom Waits in Greenwich Village; he asked me if I knew where he could buy some underpants.
